I had so much fun refining this design I made back in 2022 when I knew nothing about Illustrator. I was tasked with redesigning our church's baptism t-shirts. I thought it was a great opportunity to learn Illustrator. I googled everything and painstakingly finished my first ever project done in Illustrator.
Fast forward to today, I have furthered refined this design, now armed with a lot more experience in Illustrator, to go from a t-shirt design to a simple but memorable logo design. In order to do so, I had a few things to fix from the previous design:
For a logo to stand out, it should be simple without too many intricate details. So I let go of the details, the redundant elements, and the awkward spacing, and arrived at this much elevated version:
